Introduction

This policy explains how to delete your QRLens account and associated data. We respect your right to control your personal information.

This action cannot be undone

Once deleted, your account and all associated data will be permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)

Steps:

  1. Open QRLens
  2. Go to Settings (bottom navigation)
  3. Tap on your Account section
  4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
  5. Enter your password to confirm
  6. Confirm the deletion

This removes all cloud data immediately and signs you out.

Option 2: Email Request

If you are unable to access the app or your account, you may request deletion by email:

Send an email to admin@moalduhun.com with the following details:

We will verify your identity and process legitimate requests within 7 business days.

Data That Will Be Deleted

Cloud Data (Firebase Firestore):

Data Type Description
Profile Information User ID, email address, full name, account creation date
Credits & Purchases Credits balance, ad-free status, unlimited credits flag
Purchase History Records of in-app purchases made through Google Play
Cloud History Any synced QR code history (if applicable)
Authentication Firebase Authentication credentials

Local Data (Device Storage):

Local data stored on your device is not deleted remotely. This includes:

  • QR code scan and generation history
  • App preferences and settings
  • Cached images and generated QR codes

To remove local data, either:

  • Uninstall the QRLens app, or
  • Go to your device's Settings, Apps, QRLens, Clear Data

Data Retention

No backups of your account data are kept after deletion. Once your account is deleted:

  • Your data is permanently removed from Firebase servers
  • Your purchase history with Google Play remains with Google (per their policies)
  • Data cannot be recovered under any circumstances

What Happens After Deletion

  • You will be immediately signed out of the app
  • Your email can be used to create a new account (fresh start)
  • Any purchased credits or ad-free status will be lost permanently
  • You will need to make new purchases if you create a new account
